Most innovative service I know: http://www.netspeak.org . It does exactly what the article talks about: offering a word by filling a hole in a sentence or phrase.

The article's premise is that Big Money is rushing into podcasts but without giving details what that is. Maybe this is bad for Overcast and other clients, but it could mean that popular podcasts can make more money. Marco is definitel

Quick anecdote: I always demoed Quest by running it in a loop testing GCC on an Apple laptop and it would always find a compiler bug. No longer, it seems. I've tried it on OS X 10.10.5 today and so far couldn't find a bug in GCC o

I'm the author of Quest - thanks for linking to it. Feel free to ask questions about it. If anyone wants to try it: it's implemented in OCaml and can be installed from OCaml's package manager Opam: "opam install quest&qu

What is a good SML implementation that creates compact binaries that are easy to deploy? (One of OCaml's strength is the compiler that produces native code binaries that don't depend on tons of runtime libraries or other files.)

I wonder, how was the "i" cut in lead with the dot being off-center? Wouldn't this cause the letter to be unusually wide? Or was it cut as some kind of ligature, which I find hard to imagine. Addendum: there is a picture of a

If you adjust the velocity to v-1 it would be an incremental update, which seems natural. But if you update the velocity to d-1 (as stated) I can imagine this could be a jump and even could result in negative velocity for d=0 .

I feel there is an interesting bit (or example) missing: how does the (OCaml) code look that implements the expressions that are evaluated? The code returns a value and the list of cells it read - how is obtaining this list best organised?

OCaml modules and Haskell type classes are quite separate, too. I would make more sense to compare OCaml and Haskell modules. Haskell type classes implement ad-hoc polymorphism and OCaml doesn't have that at all. You can't impleme

The OCaml code for the Person module in that post is not not idiomatic. Also, a module is quite different from a class or JS object and it would be more helpful to think about a module implementing an (abstract) data type like in C or other
