The electric motor is not 100% efficient so some heat must be available for cabin. Large synchronous generators are 97% efficient not sure about 100 kw e vehicle Motors

My time series are from PLC in hydro electric power stations. Usually about 1000 series per turbine and another 1000 for general plant or river stuff. So it is just timestamp and bool, 16 or 32 bit u/int, or 32 bit float. Will just use

Did you consider Victoria metrics at all? It is based on clickhouse design. I am considering it for time series type historian so different Application but I think it could work where clickhouse works too.

Victoria metrics can store data at local node and forward to central when network is functioning

Some industrial equipment requires flash or Java for the web based configuration UI. Even Ethernet switches It’s a huge pain to find the right version of browser, Java, flash, to be able to change a setting

Interesting they are using tsdb for storing the time series. I thought it was out of favor and fashion. Clearly it is serviceable.
