Do you really look forward to 1) Try and maintain some piece of software on your device to overlay real-world adds? 2) Try and maintain some piece of software on your device to block AR adds? I personally don't ...

My biggest gripe with AR products is that they will just become a tool to spoil the real world with ads everywhere. No thanks.

What would it take to have some p2p video streaming service to rival Youtube? Say that everyone reserves some space, compute and bandwidth on their phones and computers, what kind of figures are we talking about to make it work at Youtube s

amdgpu on my 6.10 kernel has been crashing constantly too. It makes me want to go back to Intel. My workaround has been to let the ryzen 7700 iGPU run at its max clockspeed of 2200 Mhz …

I’m working on an Open Source SQLite VFS extension with modern encryption using libsodium. Using the VFS instead of adapting the source like SQLcipher is not straightforward but feasible. I hope that a modern encryption library, extensive t

It all depends on the use-case, a generalist database can never achieve the performance of specialized databases once the workload gets large enough. It's like asking for a car that's great off-road but also beats an F1 car on the

What bothered me a little bit while following the book was that copying the code doesn’t result in compilable code all the time because there is code missing that is only introduced later. I get why the author chose to follow this path, but

Great tip in the article to not punish your cat when it does something wrong. It just gets worse when you do that. Learned it the hard way after once yelling at mine.

2FAS also exists for Android, is Aegis superior or you don't use 2FAS on Android for another reason?
