A use case I can think of is weather icons. Carefully designed icons on maps can help convey the difference between a shower and a heavy rain for instance.

I'm not sure what you mean by "in a script form". In any case, the "authoritative" source of the template served by time.openstreetmap.org is this GitHub: https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstr

There's a page dedicated to the current OSM Key on their wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Standard_tile_layer/Key . Is it what you're looking for? Apart from that, the page for each tag will show

Both are useful I'd say. Imagine a plug-in for your IDE that performs the static analysis and catches the syntax errors and some trivial semantic errors (typos in some field's name for instance) each time you save the file. I defi

Not that I want to defend Boeing, but it's easy to play Nostradamus and predict catastrophies to then only dig up the prophecies if they turn up true. The article doesn't say how much the claims were substantiated and backed up by

It doesn't imply better or worse, it just means than one compiler is more experienced than the other since it doesn't fall for the traps that get the other one caught, presumably due to the experience put into its development.
