Super late response, but I play Jumbline 2 these days which is the exact same thing. Only a phone app currently I think though.

I think for most devs, software licenses are not a core competency. Most devs interact with licensing only occasionally, if that, and they may not have a good grasp of the licenses they work under (or if they do, they may forget parts of th

I think we should give Isao Takahata some credit too though. Grave Of The Fireflies is quite famous and that’s all Takahata. And Miyazaki has said that Takahata was very influential on him.

I like Disney’s dubs generally. Having watched Princess Mononoke 5 times with the Disney sub and 5 times with the Disney dub, I like them both for different reasons. Castle In The Sky has had a bunch of dubs: https://dubbing.fand

Agreed (assuming we’re talking about the US here). I’m not a rockstar dev but I have a lot of years of solid experience. I applied to 60+ programming jobs over the last four months without getting even a single technical interview. Every pr

Python seems closer to the GIL being optional than it’s ever been before: https://www.backblaze.com/blog/the-python-gil-past-present-a... I was surprised to read this myself.

Have you seen other attempts by other companies to do this here, though? They often end badly. It only works for fly.io because they know how to read the room and aren’t trying to do something horrible. EDIT: Oh, and they often add valuable

I got denied three times in the final interview with different FAANG companies for not doing whiteboards fast enough. Not getting them right; I mean not doing them fast enough. I’ve passed some whiteboards too in other interviews so it’s no
