I am a fan of static pages and if you are working with „non-technical“ folks a headless CMS might be what you are looking for. In a recent project (Website for my mom) I went with https://prismic.io which gives a simple API/

Just finished working on the first iteration of a website for my mom. I didn’t want to deal with a full classical CMS and maintain Databases and such, especially as my experience with wordpress, PHP and typo3 has faded a little bit. My mom’

Interesting, because in Europe we have Cameraria ohridella [0] which wreak havoc on horse chestnuts. The moth replicates like crazy and the only recourse is collecting and burning fallen leaves every year. Luckily it looks worse than it is

How do you set up the pi holes for redundancy? Just manually configured as primary and secondary DNS, or some nifty configuration syncing?

I think they handled the python upgrade professionally, the author even went and fixed some of the communities more popular plugins to be python 3 compatible. When the python 3 update didn’t work for me, the rollback scripts worked great an

I wonder whether it is worth to employ a student just for getting access to Standards / Papers via their university. (Back when I was at a technical University we could access that via our student logins) That way you might explore whi

Flashing routers and running custom firmware on them is harder or sometimes even not possible with people’s hardware. In Germany you get pretty nice router hardware (FRITZ!Box) loaned from an ISP. Setting up a 30 EUR pi with pi-hole is way
