Only in the West is valuing (and wanting to protect) your own culture now seen as extremist and hateful. For everyone else and pretty much all of human history it is and was the norm.

Great suggestion. Have just done this now too. For Windows users, YogaDNS is a great little app for managing DNS configuration. Can set up DNS rules depending on domain name etc. I actually use PiHole and added Local DNS entries for the arc

Just put the fixed IP addresses for the various archive.?? domains in your hosts file. This completely resolved the problem for me.

I can certainly personally feel the difference health-wise between 600ppm and 1200 ppm. This is what ChatGPT has to say on the subject:- The difference in acceptable CO2 levels between submarines and office buildings is due to different env

1100-1200. I believe in the mining industry anything over 800 inside a truck cab is considered unsafe. Fresh air is 470ish. I try to keep my room around 600 but not always possible.

The problem with shutting windows is CO2 quickly gets up to unhealthy levels. Takes about 2 hours in my office. A good quality CO2 monitor (e.g Aranet) is a worthwhile investment.

I think a problem with multiple monitors is eventually you start getting neck problems due to constant head pivot movements. Its like you are watching a tennis game, all day, every day, for years.

Some easy to access online demo videos of the end product (so I dont have to download code) would be a huge improvement.

Your free speech equivalence argument, in this context, is something I'd expect from either a Chinese propagandist or someone who is very young and has minimal life experience. Maybe you are both. Again, you are not a serious person.

Its ridiculously niave to equate the manipulation of opinion by an authoritarian regime as "free speech". You are not a serious person.

Ok so that hasn't happened and is clearly not going to happen. Now what?

Allowing an authoritarian regime access to manipulate opinion on a massive scale does not increase freedom of speech.

Ive never understood why TikTok is allowed to run their app in the West whilst China blocks all foreign apps within its own borders. How is this not a simple trade issue?

I wonder if CO2 levels and air quality might be a confounding factor here.

There is a fantastic documentary released recently on Hipgnosis, the graphic design company behind all of Pink Floyd's album covers (and other bands like Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney etc). A great documentary and very interesting to se

Pointing out forum manipulation doesnt degrade discussions nearly as much as the forum manipulation itself. Its an extremely serious issue and we should be able to discuss it.

I wonder what the long-term consequences are of western forums being flooded with people advocating CCP talking points whilst all counter-CCP arguments are blocked within China for everyone. What is going to be the impact over time?

I wonder if Twitter is already generating more revenue now compared to pre-Elon days when it was a massively over-staffed activist organisation.

I think voting in someone like Robert Kennedy is the only hope against the Washington "uni-party" and a clearly corrupt justice system. Who else is there?

Why is this not a simple trade issue? Why do we allow China to run their social media apps in the West whilst they block all foreign apps within their own borders? How is this remotely acceptable?
