It'd be nice to have this squared with research in vegetarianism (high-carb, low-fat) which long term studies indicate has a number of health benefits [1] My own take, which I've mentioned before, is that the the starting point is

#2 and #3 in your list are rather sweeping (fail2ban does more than protect ssh). I'm no expert either, the only thing I'd add is to disable password-based logins and root-login [1] [1] http://www.unixlore.net/arti

The article doesn't miss this point, it explicitly and absolutely disagrees with it: "FOR all this ambition, China is not bent on global domination. It has little interest in polities beyond Asia, except in as much as they provi

The Economist had a good (i think) piece on India's military [1] which makes me think India's more like a mouse than an elephant. At least, militarily speaking, which I acknowledge your comment wasn't explicitly about. Econom

I meant this in the sense that, for most cases, a typical deploy of something (most likely RabbitMQ) is going to meet their needs. There's a large community, stable libraries for every library and plenty of blog posts and tutorials. Ma

There are thousands (tens of thousands?) of dedicated providers, not to mention the possibility of colocating. But here's the kicker, even if Rackspace was better than all the other ones and you were ok with paying the hefty price, in

Rackspace is a tarnished brand for me. I immediately associate it with ridiculous pricing and bad "cloud" (mosso). With closed eyes it refused to see the quicksand of commodity it built its tower on. I was hoping to come up with

Some initial feedback: 1 - My first CC was rejected 2 - The spelling hint (the red line) is bad. Just type "Hollowness" and, for me at least, it underlines "Hollownes" and doesn't pick up the last "s" unti

I think a vegan would intentionally need to try to avoid protein, or a specific amino acid, to run into any issues (or be uneducated about basic nutrition, in which case any diet could be dangerous). B12 is a different issue. I cheat and ea

Corn is stupidly cheap and a fairly caloric, which directly addressed my parents point. It's also high in protein, fiber and Bs. Movie popcorn and or the corn syrup in pop aren't healthy.
