Because if you hire a DevOps after the original meaning then he needs to know AWS (assuming that’s the cloud vendor the company posting is using) DevOps means develop and operate. That was the raging new concept. Since actual sysadmin work

We have a whitelist set of allowed ai tools and models. Cursor for example would fit better but I think. It really depends on the user. Engineers without access to major production system are minor risk compared to our dev ops engineers. It

I‘m part of info sec group in the company I‘m working at and this would get banned right away. Don‘t get me wrong we use and are open to AI and all kinds of tooling ideas to make us more proficient.

A shiver runs down my spine reading „full terminal control“. For me that is a definite no-go. We fight hard to get remote code execution abilities off our system and here we freely invite it. „Hey gpt let me sudo first so you can execute th

Each rust crate is compiled on their own. Means if a library you pull in, needs the same crate as a another dependency, even with incompatible versions, it doesn’t matter. Then cargo understands the difference between test and build depende

I think in this case you should give rust a try if only for cargo. Because the mentioned issues are non existent there. Also because it’s the language mostly referred to as being completely on the other side of the spectrum when it comes to

I can understand the sentiment not to add extra work of scanning pictures of items that have seemingly not changed over the years. But I personally find these pictures interesting. I love to look at old pictures of say a square or a street

Because of the story about the Cessna landing on the Midway it reminded me of the diverted F14 who had to land on the carrier. The Midway was not designed for the heavy F14.

I’ve been to the Midway twice and it’s the first time I hear the story. Must have overlooked an exposition or something. I also wonder why they didn’t bring the bird dog over to San Diego? I mean they have the F14 from the USS Enterprise wh

I love it. Respect to “brick” your actual steam deck OLED no less. I think I would have gone and ordered a broken one from eBay (don’t know prices availability etc since it seems to be repairable).

What’s your use case for the adapter. To use the free service on a non eSIM capable phone? Or for some other stuff? Thanks for the info about the provider. Didn’t hear about the offering yet.

Need to see this in action. The example videos overuse the fuzzy search for commands in my opinion. Makes it hard to concentrate what the actual action/information is when a huge part of the screen changes. Not to say I don’t like fuzz

First Wii was able to play Game Cube Games. WiiU was backwards compatible to Wii. All theses consoles used nearly the same chipset anyways.
