See didn’t know that :). Only that we are crazy in Germany not to put any ACs etc into our houses. I mean I don’t complain about my heating system. My house uses water based floor heating. I love it. Newest trend is to put it in the ceiling

Reminds me of my home here in Germany. I guess it’s not as sophisticated as the architects where more concerned with energy savings then fresh air. Means in the early years we had to vent the house manually a lot. I friend of mine renovated

Nothing stops you from vendoring them into your repo and hand update each. But how would you do this in c++? Write everything from scratch? I mean rust doesn’t stopp you there [edit] typos

My title in the company is Principal, but my role encompasses a bit more. I recently helped and advocated for a promotion to Principal for one of my reports. The step from Senior to Principal is a very challenging one in our organization, a

I don’t think parent means the same or maybe he does. On chrome and edge on macOS one can choose to install the PWA as a native app. It gets an app icon and everything. It’s similar to a web bookmark on the HomeScreen. But it’s a sandboxed

Just this morning I complained about the a news article here listing all the times and channels it will be broadcasted. I mean as a German it’s kinda normal to watch it at least once in life. My English teacher used it as a way to do role p

Yes my thoughts as well. The tech was so expensive I guess that they had a need to test / run it to proof it’s private? I mean the model to find landmarks in your photos could run locally as well or? Ok I’m not 100% sure here.

I just pointed out what happened in the past. I have no clue if Apple will deprecate it and what reason they put forward doing so. I personally like the fact that I can run both arm and x86 binaries. But I think judging Apple that if they d

Around 2010, I started learning Objective-C to be part of the whole native mobile development movement. What I didn’t know when getting into this was how much of a history lesson I would have to participate in to understand the background b

I think they assuming from the past that this will happen. When Apple moved from powerPC to x86 there was Rosetta 1. It got deprecated as well.

I tried it and it’s funny. I liked the Highscore output. But the distance is only measured in miles. As a metric person this saddens me :). Keep up the work. I also like these kinds of visualizations.

I assumed that most if not all of these webcam LEDs are wired in series with the power to the camera itself. Which then makes it impossible to disable them. Who designs this LED to be software addressable?

The main issue is not a binary file that never changes. It’s the small binary file that changes often.

I would like to know how much these images overlap or at least see a few of the single shots. I’m curious what the inputs look like.

Nice article. What is interesting to me is the reactions to articles like this. Not the fact that the git internals are not widely known, I mean that is true for nearly any more complicated topic. In this case I mean the fact that this is a

I think the most down to earth example is the AST or data protocol examples. Take Jason for example. Instead of having a JsonValue class to hold the data you would have a Union type that is either string, bool, number, array of your union t

I had this exact topic with an Irish coworker who lives in Germany and has issues to convey the right time. For me as a German „half one“ is half of one so 12:30. Same for „Dreiviertel eins“ -> „threequarter one“ being 12:45 and „Viertel
