Wow, I'd be surprised if some young congressperson doesn't make their career by publicly eviscerating Boeing soon.

It's better than "be good". Getting interviews isn't the hard part. Getting through them is.

Honestly? Make stuff. Get patches submitted to relevant open source projects. Make a small project that's actually finished (bonus if it's demo-able).

No the OP, but: They're likely viewing them as similar to certifications. Different industries treat certifications differently. Enterprise technologies like Java and .NET and IBM products are helpful if you are aiming for that sort of

It seems the ones in the article end after you pay off 2.5x the original loan, at least.

Well, a loan ends after you pay back the principal, this only seems to end after a certain period of time, even if you end up in a great job and having to pay back 3x or 4x the loan. Whether this is still worth it depends heavily on whether

Not super obvious, but the "no one wants" in the title is referring to that explicitly.

I signed up in 2004 and never stopped. I bumped up to Blu-Ray too (and get pretty annoyed when a DVD shows up instead of a Blu-Ray...) I love streaming TV shows, but for movies I just don't like it. I don't even know why.

I don't think you can, and worse, iTunes used to have free radio stations that were pretty decent, but are now locked behind the Apple Music paywall. Radio is an area that Spotify falls flat on its face. If I want to listen to random h

I call this the "sales mindset" vs the "accounting mindset". In my opinion, once you see the accounting mindset take hold of the leadership of a company, it's prospects are dead. It's not growing any more. Gran

Usually the publication would pay for it to ensure a fair review and to hide the fact that they are reviewing it, which may skew the results.

The margins on pizza are crazy. You're probably looking at a dollar or less in materials cost for a cheese pizza.

I always assumed it was because your frame of reference gets longer and longer. For a 5 year old, a day is 1/1825 of their entire life, whereas for a 50-year-old it's a smaller piece of your life by a factor of 10.

It started like a decade ago, I think? It's gotten a lot worse, though. It's like they really really want you to only watch shows on Bluray or streaming.

This doesn't make any sense. There's no scenario that keeping the DB limited to being accessed by Heroku dynos would make it less secure than leaving it open to the internet AND all of the other ways you can access it currently.

No, lots of algorithms and data structures use more space to provide more speed. It's not simple laziness.
