I have actually fully replaced my jq installation with gojq (including an `ln -s gojq jq`) for a few years, and no script has broken so far. I'm super impressed by the jq compatibility. If you are going down this route, do be careful w

Why wouldn't you upload the file to all the servers, and then deploy them all in succession, rather than upload and deploy in sequence?

Caddy is great for web servers, but it's still not possible to have it run commands post certificate provisioning. So it's kind of a non-starter for anything but web-servers as there is no way to tell a different system to reload

It sounds like it stopped working when FB declared war on adblockers. It has since become a cat and mouse game. UBlock Origin + relevant lists are likely still your best bet. I can't say for certain how effective they are as I don'

Plugins are a trade off. It's either code duplication, or put it all inside core, in which case people will complain that it contains things they don't care about ("it's bloated"). Rest are valid, I guess. But would

Yes. The US, the country that thinks of themselves as the beacon of hope and freedom, should ban Bitcoin. FWIW, I wouldn't put it past the US govt to ban cryptocurrencies. It just would be extremely hypocritical. Something the US is pr

Right. Greed is the fundamental problem, and not "that there is not enough oil" as the parent commenter I replied to earlier suggested.

Totally agree. I've joined companies where there was literally zero test coverage. All tests were done manually. But then if you have bad test coverage, then you shouldn't be using something like this.

> It would take real political will that simply isn't there. Right. Instead, we (the UK) have two candidates that want to cut taxes for the individuals instead of making real change. BP has made 3x net profit compared to last year.

If you have a good pipeline to prod, should be okay. You should hopefully have plenty of automated tests to ensure it doesn't get to prod if there are errors.
