As someone else has said, the alternative isn't to move away from GH (at least not for this specific issue). The alternative is to change your license to not allow for this.

As others have said, it seems fishy. They've got this data from somewhere, so why wouldn't they have looked through the license before using it? Anyway, speaking of MySupermarket, what happened to them? All I know was one day they

There is also eBPFSnitch, though it hasn't been updated in a while. It uses eBPF for packet filtering. https://github.com/harporoeder/ebpfsnitch

Yeah, I came across it a while ago, and figured I'd post it here when I ran watch today and viddy came up because I had aliased it when I came across it. I'm not sure how I haven't used watch since then but here we are.

What would be involved to create a Electron and/or Node alternative with an engine like this?

Wow! I was under the very wrong impression that memcached hadn't been updated in a long time. It has been having regular releases for longer than I thought. Great to hear!

Hah. I didn't realise it until you mentioned it. In my defense I copied it from their site and just made sure it fit HN's title limits.

Yeah, unfortunately this model isn't available in the UK so I'm just going to have to take a stab in the dark. I'll find out soon enough.

I'll be happy to! I'm still renting so I've not really bothered with any thermostat yet. I used to have a Nest Learning thermostat when I was living in a place where they allowed me to install it, but I gave that away when I

They have recommendations for each robot but it's not easy to parse them quickly (I.e. in the table). I went through them all and it seems the only one that's fully recommended is the Dreame Tech Z10 Pro. I actually bought it too

Ory suite looks amazing. I think the biggest things I'm missing are token authentication and with that, services tokens. I saw a thread saying it'll be implemented at some point and I'm looking forward!

Yep, I'm aware. I wasn't implying that they're not. They're on the same level as Hyperoptic, but I feel like Hyperoptic has been trying to expand for a long time, but hasn't done much expanding until Community Fibre

What's really cool about Deluge is that it can run in a client/server mode where the Deluge can act as a thinclient. This way you can set up a server, and install Deluge on all your machines, and have them all connect to the same

I've been getting less and less success with 12ft.io. I mostly use it on my phone. On my computer I use Bypass Paywall Clean[0] (chrome/firefox addon) which uses different tricks to access the full article. [0] https://

Considering codeberg.org is a productionized deployment of Gitea, I'm guessing deploying a HA version is possible, and you can bet that an LB can be put in front of it. As for SSO, I'm not sure if Azure AD is supported, but some S

Sure Gitea does a bit too much for a single individual, but you don't have to use the additional features. Honestly, the UX of gitweb is pretty bad so even if Gitea has too much, it's still better than gitweb. Who knows, maybe som

Podman isn't supposed to be used in prod servers. It's for local development. It produces OCI compatible images (through Buildah), and you're supposed to use those with a proper container orchestration tool such as K8s, Nomad

It is at least a year or so old. But there have been quite a few bugs, and iirc it was only at v4 where incompatible bugs have been ironed out. Not that it wasn't usable previously, you'd just run into a few issues.

The permissions (rwx) don't change, but the uid/gid is mapped. E.g. uid 0 is the running user outside the container, by uid 1 will be mapped to 100000 (configurable), and say 5000 inside the container is mapped to 105000. I don&#x

This article misses quite a bit. Podman has a full Docker compatible API, so you just have to enable it, and then set the DOCKER_HOST to point to its socket. From there docker compose should work as if you had Docker. Podman also is current
