Lol I am considering this one. Seems like it hits a spot. Longevity is my main concern.

I think something based on portfolio would be better. portfoliohq, tryportfolio, useportfolio, withportfolio etc.

Not sure of Tau's exact features but one nice thing about the Vercels and Netlifys is the integration with Github and easy CI /CD setup. Having CI taken care of by just installing a single package on your own server is compelling

You want to avoid duplication, usually. You can also do it by creating components in React (and other frameworks). Doing so keeps the style close to the component definition which I think is good: if your component is say a nav bar some of

Ideally, one should make illegal state unrepresentable. The problem with a string is there is no guarantee it represents a money amount.

It is a phone app so the pricing model makes no difference. Either way they could pull it from the store or not. Subscription seems to be only for backup to iCloud and encryption anyway. Forever apps on mobile are probably only possible on

If you mean LLMs today: Write code that works. More than 100k tokens worth. Learn something without a megawatt hour of power. Read a novel and talk about what it really means.

I agree it is a very useful skill, and countless stuff ups I have seen have been caused by bad SQL (often ORM generated SQL). But I don't remember ever SQL being tested in any interview, where as coding skills in the language of choice

Docs are good but the app router complicated things and had a knock on effect on other docs like auth. Every example was app or pages now so you had lots of examples out there that could no longer work for you. That choice made the document

NextJS can be used in different ways, but it is solid as a front-end only set up for building React apps. Create-react-app is deprecated so the choices are fewer. Vite is another choice. Another is esbuild and a bit more set-up work.

I find it is in a weird spot where it is more powerful than bash but you often don't need that power or if you do coding in c# might be better. It is very good of you want to work with Azure though. You probably don't want to use

Or Vite. It is a close call. Vite seems to more configurable but the trade-off is you spend more time figuring out how to set stuff up like SSR and routing. NextJS had it all set up but Vercel make some weird choices like rolling out the ap

Go for it! Not sure why it is overkill. People may have JS disabled. But you can mitigate against this with SSG/SSR. Although you might have to "dual code" forms to work both ways if you have any. I would just use what makes

I disagree. Take code generation. Right now stackoverflow wins on correctness but your question may not overlap entirely with the asked question. LLMs answer your actual question but you sacrifice correctness. So there is a tradeoff so Gene

That would be like making a constant for every nuget package/version tuple: unworkable because new versions and packages come out all the time. Or making constants for every device manufacturer you can connect to via web Bluetooth.

Well done on building this. I can see this being useful, devil is in the details of how good the UI is. I don't use Python yet for LLM stuff but I may do in the future (for other reasons). But something like this might be useful to me.
