It is a neat idea! Because often the point at which you need to add a todo you are doing it because you don't have time to do it now. Which means the screenshot UI is quick way to get the information stored (like an email, calendar app

I wish I knew about this in the microcomputer days. I started off with SIN() and COS() for circles which were very slow. I realized that you can just scan down a pixel at a time in the Y axis and use Pythagoras for the X. Also for a circle

It is a developer time tradeoff. If your app is mainly forms and not that interactive a framework like this would be OK. Internal crud tools would be an example. But you can’t use it for everything (you can’t use any framework for everythin

If Node is your backend then JS is what you need to use. Whether directly or via Typescript. JS is just the language. Avoiding JS on the front end is more about avoiding front end code, state management, mutations, a11y issues, frameworks e

Warm take? Just reject and ask for an explanation OR pair with the coder to have them explain the code. If the reviewer can’t understand it without an explanation the rest of the team can’t understand it unless they git blame then ask the c

ORMs are useful though for a different reason. They let you creat typed objects then generate the schema from them and automatically create a lot of boilerplate SQL for you. Admittedly for anything more than 1-2 joins you are better off han

Yes I think docker is not suitable for non technical people. Running docker locally usually means messing around, sometimes troubleshooting and restarting the daemon. Even if you make your app handle all the commands. It’ll end up not worki

I think it is like coin flips, do enough of them and the total heads or tails gets very predictable even though individual flips are not.

For after effects they offered monthly, monthly with commitment and annual. Same pricing structure as a gym. I guess they need to make it clear but it was clear to me that a cancellation fee applied.

Thanks for taking the time! The conflict for me here is I don't want to use a template and look like everyone else. On the other hand I do want it to look good. I'll consider your points.

I think ACT has no thresholds, whereas NSW for example you could own a $5m primary residence and rent it out and maybe 4 $1m appartments (whose land value will be low) and rent those out and pay no land tax. So you can be rich from property

Thanks. This is early! A few on HN have mentioned issues with the design but I have heard no specific feedback. Is it just some artistic thing “you know when you see it” or can it be put into words? There is also award winning design vs. de
