This is discussing a strict carnivore (meat ONLY) diet. I'm not aware of such a comparison.

Why would you dismiss it as "psychological" while admitting that you don't know what it means? Have you ever fasted? It feels like that. Re: cows. They have a rumen. And they are aided by bacteria to convert the plant matter

So do I... There is a (literally) visceral feeling you get when eliminating plants (and frankly, even most supplements except minerals) that the gut is finally at rest / not disturbed, it becomes impossible to ignore that our digestive

I agree, but I'm also certain that using an AI writer will actually teach you to write better - like with art generators, you still need to look at the result and recognize it as good/better, and you form your taste by iterating.

Well, I said extinct, but I wouldn't bet that on average mental arithmetic skills went down, perhaps they have, on the other hand it freed people up for learning about more complex operations and allowing them to perform those operatio

Adding to this idea: perhaps learning how to "calculate" with text, or treating human semantic output as a programmable medium is the entire point of LLMs, as an evolution of our communication capabilities. For instance, I think t

I know this is a bit of a shortcut but have pocket calculators rendered mental math extinct? I see language models as calculators for text. True, the analogy isn't perfect, as you don't need to double-check your calculator's

What's the upper bound for this particular skill though? I don't see any - there's no limit to how good you can get with designing search vectors for information in latent space...

Indeed but it's also gold-in gold-out, something like that... But on a more subtle note because conversational AI has this short feedback loop, much shorter than even regular search, I feel that it's something where people can lev

On the other hand, I'm finding the opposite with ChatGPT, that I'm learning that it responds just as well with some compression, or rather that verbosity doesn't matter as long as the information is there.

I don't understand the climate change comment - not yours specifically, it is common. If POW blockchains are genuinely useful (perhaps indispensable) in this way, why does it matter if it "costs" some emissions to keep in run

You're either going to get a long lecture or quick dismissal - I'm on the same kind of diet and second what parent said, aside from the fact my health issues were more serious. Anyway, for those so inclined, here's the ultima

I don't think so, D3 is the animal form, which I didn't mention but it is, of course, the one you want and not D2, which does have some issues. Otherwise, I think it's more a matter of vitamin D biosynthesis also having other

Kind of scaremongering. Yes, quality varies, but if you really want to be diligent it's easy to find what the good brands are, that are getting tests, have certifications, etc. Most of the vitamin supplements are cheap to make, there&#

There are plenty of brands dosing at 5K, 10K, and even 50K IU. That 1000IU is common but very underdosed. IIRC the 400IU RDA came out of some error, it's 4000IU now, but I think even that is underdosed, with many people recommending 20

Because meat is expensive, primarily. Especially from poorer backgrounds there is a culture of minimizing meat consumption and saving it for children just because of it's rarety. That's the meat of the argument for me.

Evolved to eat plans as an option, yes, but not as a preference. It is so hard to get enough plant calories without being bloated and with difficulties digesting, and that's with modern, highly selected for plants... My bet would be we
