WoW is not in the same league as EQ, AC, DAOC. WoW is a 2nd or if you count Meridian 59 as gen1, 3rd generation MMORPG. It was not the 1st that had seemless maps, but IMHO it did that best. EQ2, while not having seamless maps, would be in

It's all evil. You only have the choice between lesser evils. It shouldn't be like that. Firefox on mobile has less features than Chrome, can't even view source markup. The only advantage is you can install ublock.

Imo IAM aka OIDC is keeping it simple. Do you want to develop your own auth solution, or focus on features of your service? For the rest, of course. AWS, GCP, Azure, all too expensive. Chances are very high you won't even need more tha

Imagine something like Baldur's Gate 3 with AI generated, infinite stories and characters in those stories. Including voice acting. I think you're having the right idea.

I've done this previously, about 10 years ago, for a distributed kv store I wrote. Not a lot of fun. Meanwhile, I'm guessing, there are new useful utilities out. One I remember was easyCA or was it easyPKI?

The biggest problem with Java is... the walled garden, the snob society, the elitist, exclusive culture. Go isn't like that, or at least wasn't when G+ was still around. Nowadays I don't get in touch much with people, but whe

Performance matters. Dart isn't even in the same league. And its null handling and checking is the worst. I absolutely hate it. Java over Dart any day.

This feels like the beginning of a long blog post I'd like to read. Go feels natural to me, Rust feels like an ugly looking, needlessly complicated language. Go has decay too. Many packages are abandoned or not properly taken care of.

What I wonder, why would someone go out of their way and trying to discredit Grusch because he had PTS? Is that all part of the game to make his testimony seem more plausible? Or just a bad attempt at smearing his reputation? Idk.
