Sikuli is amazing! I've used it (to great success) for data processing automation and MMO grinding.

Looks cool! However, my main interest isn't exactly developing the ML algorithms myself, only being in a car that I can control with my phone / voice / joystick.

Wow, thanks, that project is super cool! Unfortunately those cars aren't my faves but I probably won't be buying a new one for a few years and I bet many more will be added to that list in time.

FYI, if the author or someone else would like to port it to Mac, GrandPerspective is a great tool that I use all the time and displays WinDirStat-like trees.

Does anyone know of cars that are relatively easy to control with custom software with minimal/no hardware modifications? I'd love to be able to hook up a controller to my car or some cameras and some basic self driving code on a

Ehh, the site is local news for Louisville. They might not be consciously doing anything against GDPR, just decided that the cost to make sure they're GDPR compliant isn't worth the minuscule number of added viewers.

Even if they got it wrong at birth, I still don't see why they didn't just say "whoopsie" while s/he was still a baby instead of continuing as male.

Not OP, but I've felt that Thinkpads all have terrible (and even sometimes nonexistent) trackpads which force the user to use the nub. I'm wayyy more efficient with a decent (usually Mac, but I've occasionally had good experi

My experience is also out of date but I know they gave it a facelift recently to make it a more "modern" Mac/iOS app.

Same here. I put my phone number in my Facebook profile when I first made it years ago and have since "removed" it. However, I'm pretty sure removing it does literally nothing because it will still pre-fill my phone number in

I think the issue is with the fact that it also forced you to use their router as it was built in, as I'm pretty sure all fiber providers require you use their hardware.

While I don't really like the idea of what follows from it, companies choosing which other companies to do business with based on their capital makes perfect sense and shouldn't be banned.

This WWDC video shows the effects quantization at various levels: https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2018/708/ A bit Apple specific, but the main ideas carry over to any ML model. There's a

I have 8 bookmarks in my browser and this has been one of them for the past two years. It's incredibly useful for EE stuff and fun to just mess around in.

Is this not already common knowledge? It's taught pretty extensively in one of the required lower div CS classes at my university, and it's usually in other schools' curriculums from what I've seen.

What did they usually say? I know the bitwise trick, but I would say "x % 2 == 0" if asked because it makes a lot more sense and will (almost) always compile to the exact same code.

If you delete those then the recipient can still see them (it just deletes them for you). Zuckerberg's messages (and the new "unsend" feature) delete the messages for everyone, which is different.

It's still always possible to just generate any radio signal close to the SDR at a low enough power that no one else can pick it up. Also, it would require special SDR transmitters, but you could in theory transmit on every frequency t

I'd like to see a FOSS service that's functionally identical to Google Drive. Like, I could use my own server (or pay for hosting) to get the same functionality and hold all my stuff. Of course, stuff like this exists, but I don&#

The high performance parts of numpy and scipy aren't written in Python anyway so Go wouldn't be that much of an improvement. It's just that Go is a language better suited for professional software (imo).

Adversarial examples don’t actually have to be generated with the same neural network. If you want to attack another NN, you can make your own with similar training data and similar structure and the attacks can carry over to some extent.

It's not that people aren't trying to do that, it's just insanely hard. That is the end goal for all virtual assistants, but it's still years (I would even say decades) away.
