I can't imagine the hell it must be to be stuck this way at X. Can you imagine being the engineer that gets the email "Elon wants Séamas O’Reilly suspended because he said some rude things about X" and you happen to be Irish?

If I ran their large multi-page website I could search over it for every occurence of "bereavement fare" to find out exactly what we are telling people and check it for accuracy. I can't do that with a LLM afaik. I can't

I had a fake Yann LeCun (Meta's AI chief) follow me. It looked and read like the real thing. I was happy about it for a couple of days until I realized it was fake. It fooled a lot of people. I didn't report it because obviously M

Can confirm. I don't have cable so I relied on the "latest" tab in X. Almost all the traffic was for sites purporting to be showing it live, but weren't because they were some sort of scam.

This implementation is similar to something Ilya Sutskever said a few months ago but I think I am misunderstanding both: I think they are saying robots could learn how to move and what facial expressions to use by watching millions of hours

Free speech for Vladimir Putin and censorship for Séamas O’Reilly is all you need to know about Elon Musk's intentions. I get those who support Musk, as I do in some part, but please let's cut the b.s. that he's a noble fight

I'm not as optimistic as you about the speed of AI advancement. I believe it will be slow enough for someone to stay ahead of it for awhile. I believe AGI is quite hard and will take decades.

If I could give young people one bit of advice I'd say "develop your thinking skills." The only way to beat AI is to stay one step ahead of it. It's shocking to me as an old person how many young people can barely think.

It used to take real skill to make a convincing fake but now anyone can upload a photo and push a button to "remove clothing" so it takes no skill at all (I'm guessing) so the barrier to entry has been lowered to nothing. Thi

What would be an interesting show from Stewart or Maddow is if they hooked up with a cult deprogrammer and attempted to pull out some die hard MAGA members before they drank the Kool Aid in Novemeber. That would be convincing.

Rachel Maddow is also only on Monday. Her and Stewart are very focused on how bad a Trump second term would be, but they're preaching to the choir with me. I don't need to keep being convinced so I have no reason to watch them. Wh
