Pack your parachute. The ground is hard and it might be good to have something later to slow your descent. Even better is having choices about where to land. Creating the future is often better and easier than trying to predict it. Take app

I'm tempted to set up a wifi with logging of all ips / names then connect a fresh android with no external apps up. See what appears. But help me understand, obiwan, why is an empty file useful in this instance?

Eventual goal: all applicable other devices? mac, windows, linux, android, ios would be good. Other than dev time, are there any other obstacles?

There was a similar JIT library written in C mentioned on HN awhile ago. Wasnt libjit or lightning. I forget what it was called. Seemed a lot simpler.

Read "War of art" by Pressfield. Writing can definitely be torturous. Creative "anything" in general can be painful. Writers block is very real.

Animal-rights aside, which are horrible all by themselves, the further implications if you believe in reincarnation are mind bogglingly horrible. Any ethicists/philosophers want to weigh in? I'm thinking some kind of respawn loop

More explosions? But really, once you explain what the project or thing is about, is it actually boring? Some of the best projects have "boring" READMEs that explain or point to various documents. This is NOT a failure. If they ar

Don't make predictions or estimates when you're happy. Marketers are usually overly happy, especially when in the act of estimating. This makes it hard for them to resist being overly generous with their predictions.

I'm of the opinion that if the auto-pilot was a real driver, I'd like that "driver": 1) put into the passenger seat and required to simply observe, 2) sent back to school to learn the road rules, 3) re-sit the test to co

I now genuinely dislike XML. We ditched all that XML tooling around RPC over the wire and can't be happier. JSON is far better for what we do. Its faster, easier to parse, easier to store, easier to create/modify/delete. For
