Some of the examples on the page don't seem to be working right (in FF 52.2.0 ESR, work machine). For instance, all of the h1, h2, etc headings appear the same size for me. Tried in IE11 (not that one should expect anything to work the

This sounds like a really interesting read. System 1 and System 2 remind me somewhat of the Buddhist/mindfulness/whatever idea of "the watched" and "the watcher". Where 1 is instinctual, reactive, emotional (ak

From some various comments on that thread, it appears it may have been a mistake, where they put the cert in the wrong store? Blizzard has a good reputation in my mind personally, so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here. Initially

Many of these supporters I don't see defending the regulation of speech on the net by government, but by the public putting pressure on private entities, which is a different matter altogether. Maybe I've missed it but I have not

I don't have a long history (no attachment to an ideal based on childhood experience that many others seem to have) with Star Wars and I liked it, even though I thought some of it was really strange. That said, I'm no movie critic

So true. Reminds me of the recent reporting by the SFBT about the surveillance bot that the SF SPCA used in its parking lot to deter crime. From all other accounts it appears that SFBT (who said it was to deter the homeless from hanging aro

Outside of all the discussions surrounding the policy itself, the one thing that's been the most heartbreaking/angering about this is how unprofessional Pai has been throughout the entire process. Even in a more formal environment

Glad to see the continued focus on performance. The last few updates have had noticeably faster startup times IMO.

1) Republican voter support is broad for net neutrality. Multiple sources have shown this pretty consistently. 2) The Republican deregulatory ideal (if it works at all) only works if competition exists. It doesn't. The market can only

From everything I've seen, net neutrality seems to have broad voter support, regardless of party, and even many Republicans in office have voiced concerns. So are they really acting the way voters would expect? Voter support (a couple

Our local ISP Shentel does this as well, mostly for data cap alerts.

This is very true. Though I am no longer on keto, I've gotten to the point where I must know the ingredients and nutritional content of every single thing I eat. Part of overeating/mindless eating is ignoring any data about what

I had the same problem (mildly hungry all the time) which is what caused me to stop the low-carb-ish restrictions. Thankfully I've kept most of the weight off (but still have a ton I need to lose). I've been debating how else to t

I use a Pi pretty much exclusively for this purpose and it works very well. Fairly transparent to me in terms of performance (DNS doesn't feel slower at least to me). Glad to see ads blocked across the network, including on mobile devi

Good riddance to over-engineered niche luxury products like this that ask you to spend hundreds of dollars to achieve the same results you can achieve for a few dollars. The loss on the human side (jobs, etc) is sad, but I certainly don

In Chrome on macOS 10.13 it uses quite a bit of CPU (almost 2 out of 4 cores maxed). Still cool, but while it's low in file-size cost, it is quite high in CPU cost, even on a modern i5 machine.

Sure! I use custom ringtones too and was glad to find out I still can. I'm tempted to try out device backup with one of my iOS devices just for the heck of finding out first-hand how it is impacted.

Does startup seem noticeably faster for everyone else with this release? When opening files it feels like there's less of a delay now. Might be placebo.

Neat to see a CSS version of emoji, but wouldn't PNGs or otherwise be a much more efficient use of data to display emojis cross-platform, instead of a 74.5KB (unminified) CSS file being loaded to display a few emoji? Edit: I suppose if
