I'll have to check this one out, hadn't heard of it. I'm surprised at how good these free editors are getting. They have come a long way.

I use Shotcut ( https://shotcut.org ) and it's been a good experience for very simple cutting/editing. If you strictly only need to trim/cut, Lossless-Cut ( https://github.com/mifi/lossless-cut )

Wow that name brings back memories. Worked for a company years ago that moved to RedPrairie from an older system and was not happy about the "upgrade". This was around the same time they changed their interface for customer servic

The ACA is bad for people that even do care and even initially supported the ACA, like myself. It has plenty of good parts, but I have to be honest, my choices of insurance options went to almost nothing, and the prices skyrocketed. Part of

The risk of causing autoimmune diseases due to increased sirtuins seems like it should give companies like Elysium Health some pause on this. It is possible the risks are low, but that is an incredibly severe, permanent side-effect. That sa

So if I do this in ImageMagick on a commerical project: convert $infile \( $infile -blur 0x$width \) -compose minus +swap \ -composite -normalize $tmp0 composite -blend $mix%x100% $tmp0 $infile -matte $outfile I now owe Fred someth

Yeah, sometimes the issue isn't ourselves but those we want to stay connected to and some of them really don't desire to stay connected any other way.

The author recommends buying them from here in the article (that being said, the article is from 2016) so YMMV: http://www.iec-usa.com/cgi-bin/iec/DB19MS

It's interesting how little attention this issue received throughout nine years of time, especially when you see a 5-year gap between updates/comments on the bug thread.

For many, I'm sure they feel their time and/or convenience is worth more than the price difference. It doesn't take a ton of time, but it's enough of a time/effort that I don't think it's wrong to assume t

I never minded web ads from The Deck Ad Network because they were always small, not intrusive, and well-designed. They looked nearly identical to the ads you see on the left column of Daring Fireball these days (a small thumbnail + text blu

I would probably use this all the time if it supported syntax highlighting in mixed-language (HTML+CSS) files. I generally like it for my purposes, save that one exception.

Why artificially restrict a feature and then make users beg to get it back? That's quite user-hostile.

This is another one of those correlation-but-not-causation studies that the media loves so much to twist into causation-implying headlines.
