Batteries alao have the additional burden of recycling and pollution issues of their own. Not to mention replacement every 10 to 15 years. When it comes to Hydrogen, its basically industrial compressors, tanks, piping, etc.

How ignorant you have to be to have such a tunnel vision? Just see the per capita carbon footprints across the world. India is doing much beyond its share of the burden.

Not much water is required to produce hydrogen in the scale required. And, it can also be captured and recycled.

The idea is that energy from renewables can be converted to Hydrogen, which acts as a store of energy. It is a better store of energy than batteries, as scaling up batteries to grid scale is next to impossible. Hydrogen, however, can take a

Hydrogen is a great way to store energy, a crucial step to replace batteries. Imagine a network of solar power plants, that store their energy in form of Hydrogen during day and generate power during peak and night hours. The world needs to

This is awesome. The PICO has great software documentation and seems easy to program. I did not use it till now as it had no networking features at all. Now this comes along, and the Pico can form a great Edge device.

Just curious. How much liquid CO2 will be required for storing the energy mentioned in the article?

I would guess that safety measures require multiple sections in the dome and multiple safety valves, not to mention CO2 detectors and the likes. Also, I would guess that regulations mean these are built in remote locations.

It could be that the loss in heat storage can be compensated with heat pumps, powered by solar power, to keep the heat reservoir full. I mean, the process is simple, clean, does not require special materials, provides lots of jobs and reall

With languages like python, code itself can become configuration. Declaring constants, lists, dicts, etc can be basic config, that is an importable python module. Advanced config can be functions or some constructs around code that the prog

The roots of the practice are not very clear, but it seems that for operating on infants, risk of death from Anesthetic is very high. And historically, anesthetics were given to induce muscle numbness (so they don't thrash around).

At scale, perhaps they are costly. But i just cannot imagine deploying a webapp without cloud services. For the indie dev, cloud services have made side projects and experiments extremely cheap to spin up and scale.
