This is kind of funny to read, since in Norway basically every interaction with the government (paying taxes, filing for divorce, accessing our health records etc.) is done through an oauth2 system, the same one we use to log in to our bank

Ethereum is moving to proof of stake instead of mining, that will remove all superfluous carbon emissions. When we're talking about web3, we're generally talking about Ethereum: https://web3js.readthedocs.io

Yeah, the best way to get upvoted on Hacker News is to write a negative post about the future of crypto, it doesn't even have to be a good post, a badly written one like this will suffice.

They are correct for coffee grinders though, it's almost pointless to cheap out of them, you negate all the benefits of grinding it yourself when you buy a subpar non-burr grinder that doesn't produce a consistent grain size. Buyi

I'm a Norwegian that recently rented a car in the US, actually had a great experience. Thankfully, I had researched renting a car in the US, so I got a credit card before I left. A credit card is always smart to use while travelling an

Gold is artificially priced. The "real" intrinsic/industrial value of gold is a fraction of what it is currently priced at, since industrial use of gold amounts to around 10% of the gold usage.

Yeah, but using an Indian address generator works fine.

Just VPN to India, you get 3 months of Premium for like $5 in total. It works fine without VPN after the initial sign up.

Why is there almost no talk about updating the vaccines? Isn't that supposed to be very easy with mRNA technology? I get that it would take several months to roll out, and that the old pre-alpha boosters are a good stop gap in the mean

Shadowbanning is pretty useless for spammers, the pain they receive by getting one of their hundred bot accounts made invisible is nothing compared to the pain the real person gets. Shaddowbanning should be like the justice system, it is be

The things that makes it work good as a hearing aid are the microphones and other Pro-only features though, so the non-Pro can't be used.

by kristofferR 5y ago
Yeah, the AirPods Pro's are amazing as hearing aids. The only issue is that they are very visible and only last 4 hours each charge (I suppose you could get two pairs and switch between them every four hours).
