Rose colored glasses. Workers in stores were the original "affiliate marketers", in a lot of stores (especially electronic ones) workers were/are being paid to push the most expensive products.
Then when you try to pay, you get upsold warranties.
- treeman79 5y agoGuessing Migrine’s? Probably easier to search FL-41 glasses. I like my axon brand, very helpful.
- taffronaut 5y agoActually it would make more sense for them to push the highest margin products. This could quite often be lower cost or in-house brands since prestige brands can dictate lower margins to the retailer. Agree sales guys pushing warranties is a real pain but I'm almost nostalgic for it compared to dodging Prime sign-up every time and other online anti-patterns.
