I didn't make precise benchmarking, but when used on a real-world codebases, it speeds up linking about 2x. One trick to know: never make ld.gold the default system linker, because there would always be awkward kernel modules which wil

If I recall correctly, web 2.0 was about user-generated content. The image on the right is likely the one.

I have a bunch of ARM boards around, as well as, a headless x86 server for personal media archive, plus some number of rented virtual servers in the cloud. Basically, Chromebook is a terminal + a browser for me.

I really doubt they would sell this car to public. And having a cute self-driving test vehicle is better for the way people think about it than a dangerously looking sport car with spoilers and basses.

What you are saying (please, correct me, if I am wrong again), is that the Li-Ion batteries are unstable, but you can keep them safe (no over-current, no over-charge, no over-heat). That's fine. After all, multirotors are also unstable

In my non-educated opinion, one should never regenerate energy to a Lithium battery of any flavour. All of them are too unstable. A supercapacitor is what should be the destination for the regenerated energy: it's empty by default; sta

Having 50 GHz Wi-Fi arriving, the same technique could be applied to visualize the WiFi router signals: an antenna is the sensor, and a metal plate will serve as an arm.

Surprisingly, this is also getting solved. For example, there're demos of self-calibrating cheap Delta robots which use force sensors on the plate: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/deltabot/6fxnM20

I only partially agree. Just recently, pretty decent stepper motors have become very cheap (~$6 for NEMA-17), thx to all this 3d printer boom, and lots of things are now finally possible to implement on a budget. But I agree that good servo

With a second printer head added, it should be possible to deposit thermal insulator right within a wall. The insulator just needs to be semi-liquid (small balls are ok).

In this case, an open ISA would allow more stability over time. More over, once we have an open and widely adopted ISA, one can build an open microcontroller. After that, embedded developers will stop getting bad surprises when some specifi
