In this case, these friends are not farther than in usual case of a low-density suburban. You will have to drive, but not longer than if you lived in a single family house, as the building + park in the proposal above takes about the same s

My proposal already includes a photo; I am not sure how are the human apiaries with no living outdoor space related to it.

Some basic services and shopping are included into the first few floors. For something more fancy, it's ok to drive. As for being disconnected, it's usually quite opposite, if your friends live in the same building: you're 5-

Thermoelectric cooling ([1]) can reach such temperatures, which will not require any gas consumables. However, it could be more energy-efficient to cool with CO2. I have not done math for that. 1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi

Technically, the statement "CO2 laser will not cut stainless steel" is not accurate. Stainless steel is commonly cut by 500W-5kW CO2 lasers, see: https://www.coherent.com/Applications/index.cfm?fuseaction=f...

Pisces V is a manned submarine that adds a lot of weight and price. The toy I mentioned is unmanned (=> small) and could be placed in a different body, while reusing the same electronics and software. Not done, but certainly doable.

Unlike skateboards, the four wheels on this platform make almost a square. There's a chance that it can handle pot holes better, since three wheels will still be enough. But yeah, I share your feelings about edges.
