Probably true, but for me it's sucking the fun out of developing. I like optimisation, removing stuff, making to code shorter, clearer, faster. Small neat pieces that are fun to write, like little machines working together. That to me

I liked the overview i remember myself having 15 years ago, today there's a new library/API/service to learn everyday to keep even the simplest things working. Everything is sluggish, everything takes ages to load, to compile

No, the whole setup looks dystopian to me. The presentation too knowing Google. Looks like a prison. People are already depressed as hell from the lack of touch, real family, community and friends in modern society. That said, of course thi

The same thing is happening in _all_ countries. I'm from Scandinavia, and plenty of large US corporations pay zero taxes because of very complex arrangements. Regular people with smaller companies have to pay high taxes though. It'

Why are people acting like China is doing anything in isolation? The Wuhan Lab was funded through the american Ecohealth alliance, and a dozen american scientists probably know just as much as the Chinese do. https://news.ycombin

That fact alone is what makes this even more absurd to me. I know about probability math, - the fact the these virologists seemingly just discard that factor is twilight-zone territory to me.

What i find weird is the extreme and very unscientific agression among certain virologist: "If you think SARS-CoV-2 was engineered in a lab, please unfollow me. " https://twitter.com/macroliter/status/13

True, but personally i haven't had any hassle. Blazing fast connection speeds so you just install steam or another client and download your games, updates are super fast too. But yeah, the perfect platform would be 1-click games - but
