A conflict with NATO has a higher chance of turning nuclear than a conflict with Ukraine. So maybe we should exclude the Baltic states and give them to Russia? To avoid a nuclear war?

He's also CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and is involved in some other projects. Are you sure he doesn't need someone to run the business... somewhere? He needs to have a limit at some point, right?

Sure, in 2004 they poisoned Yushchenko. In 2014 they illegally annex Crimea and invade a part of the Donbas. Then by Elon and your suggestion, in 2022 they legally take Crimea, and after killing all the locals let's have some official

I agree and I fully understand. I'm from EU working with Ukrainian colleagues, so for me it's closer. I was never too bothered with other wars that were "far away", so I understand for US it's "far away'.

No, the "Crimea clearly belongs to Russia" part, among other things. And submitting to Russia does not equal "saving humanity" in my book. Far from it in fact. Also the "cost" of keeping Starlink alive in Ukrai

I was a big Elon Musk fanboy for what he was able to accomplish on both Tesla and SpaceX. I had the impression that he was very genuine and really wanted to "save humanity". I ignored the crazy things he said on twitter. I think h

It depends on what you call 'nerd' I guess. I learned myself how to program at 14. Never got bullied for that, and my friends all thought that was cool. Did kids get bullied? Sure. But it had more to do with social awkwardness tha

This "too cool for stuff" sounds like US culture. I never experienced that kind of thing in EU. We each had our own friend groups, and didn't really care what the other groups were into. I once heard an artist say (can't

Russia's economy is mainly export to Europe (>50%). Asia comes second. The Americas only account for about 6%. Of course sanctions on export to Russia will also be felt, but not as much as losing the money of Europe.

Why do you need gas to heat homes??? Heat pumps seem like the most ecological solution. Let's face it, we're in this shit because of political shortsightedness, not because it was the best way to go.

A couple of years ago??? Around 2010 they had 17 reactors, then they shut down 8. Last years they only had 6 running, now only 3. Yeah, they needed gas alright, because nuclear seems so much worse...

Maybe Gazprom has penalties in their contract when they don't deliver the gas. This way they could blame it on external factors. I read it somewhere but can't remember where.
