Good faith, in my opinion, is about contributing to the discussion in a valuable way. Reminding you that you don't get to set the conditions for criticising your work, even in a tongue in cheek way, is just that.

Couldn't agree more. It's a book written in Greek by a Roman - get a readable translation.

I also loved the Guide to the Good Live, and would recommend using the following book as a practical, guided tour to the Meditations and Seneca's letters: http://www.amazon.com/Stoic-Serenity-Practical-Course-Findin...

I can hardly imagine a more effective developer advocate than Scott Hanselman. He seems to be doing more good for Microsoft's reputation among developers than anybody else. Of course he out-HNed the official msdn article. For those not

Interesting and eye-opening statement, but not entirely correct: The entry level iMac and Mac Mini SKUs have regular hard drives.

The first of your points is the Hawthorne effect, and I agree that we should not conclude anything from short term productivity increases. But your second point is just absurd. If wanting to keep your shorter working hours turns out to be s

You are thinking of the wrong failure mode. Going too fast to react to a piece of debris is something a well programmed robotic car will never encounter in the first place. It will not go faster than the limits posed by its perception (know
