Why isn't this merged upstream, I wonder? Here's a thread I found for Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=693424

Not to mention the downsampling they are doing on iPhone 6 Plus - this is such a big compromise, Steve Jobs would have never allowed it, I believe! Not to mention that they are now going against their own campaign that bigger phones are imp

Can't agree more! I'm so disappointed by Nexus 5, bad camera, bad display, worst ever speakerphone, terrible battery life (even with Android L, which is supposedly more energy efficient), and so on, but at this price, how can one

Am I the only one finding iPhone 6 to be the ugliest model so far? Just compare it to Moto 360, for example.

I'm sure. By the way, this is the second time I'm bringing this on Hacker News - it's Meteor, not MeteorJS. Please, honor the branding that the authors have chosen (after a careful consideration).

Don't get offended! I abused the word "ugly", I apologize, but Telescope is unlike the minimalistic looks of Hacker News, Lobsters, Monocle ( http://monocle.io/ ), Reddit, and Product Hunt. The looks of up&#x2F

I think you misunderstand MVP. It's not using somebody else's code and slapping a new domain on it without doing a little effort to customize. Even MVP landing pages look different . And, I think you misunderstand MVP. Instead of

Why not use Lobsters ( https://github.com/jcs/lobsters ), instead, which is kinda active at https://lobste.rs/ and has been around for a couple of years if not more?

Why nobody bothers to fix the ugly (i.e. misaligned with modern day design guidelines) out-of-the-box Telescope theme? I see a bunch of sites popping up with empty hopes to build new communities with a domain and little effort?

The things that made Node.js big are npm, the community, and the fresh new frameworks - a story similar to Ruby on Rails. But I have to fess up that I miss C# and Java as their verbosity is actually an investment, not wasted time. I'm

Being based in France could a plus for some. I had a friend whose website was getting shut down by GoDaddy with each DMCA report without bothering to contact him or validating the claim, so, he moved to Gandi and he's been super happy.

Last time my family and I went back to Europe, at Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, our family was directed to a special families-only line, which didn't have full-body scanners at all, and didn't even do pad downs - just

I've never been allowed to. They always make me run them thru the X-Ray and wait in the separate line until the guy shows up... which varied between 5 and 15 minutes. Then the guy usually shows up and starts making faces and keeps reci

I've always opted out, but they (on purpose?) make you wait and get nervous about your belongings. Sometimes I've waited 15 minutes for the pad down guy to show up and my stuff was unattended all this time.
