You can't get away from having to reason about NULL in SQL even if you remove all NULLs from the database. You can still get NULLs at query time, and they'll have semantically valid meanings in views and subqueries.

Not parent commenter, but to me it seems "obviously correct". As explained in the article NULL means "unknown". Let's say I have two people, and a "tax identifier" column. Let's say two people can

Interesting that this person would write a post about how much is supposedly not in POSIX, but at the same time saying "I haven't checked POSIX". Rings of "did you know that 'gullible' is not in the dictionary?

I don't think this is relevant to my point. Not wrong, just not relevant. Individuals who are anti nuclear have reasons, explicitly stated, that are misinformed. Being anti nuclear because Chernobyl is in fact like being anti airplane

No coal plant has ever been decommissioned either, because its radioactive waste, and other waste, is now in the air we all breathe. Same with solar. Spent solar panels don't go nowhere. No other plant either.

Is it not malicious to scream "chernobyl!" willfully deceptively or willfully ignorantly confusing what can and cannot happen? More people die every single year from radiation in coal than have died in the entire history of nuclea

You could make the same argument for companies that don't own their own buildings, their own land, or have vendors of any shape or form. That is, all companies ever. The opposite of what you're proposing is "do your core busi

No. The reason is that it's the cryptocurrency industry, which existence depends on betting on black, and it's been getting red for a while now. Of course you can make money by risking everything... But it risks everything.

The fact that unity just seemed like "let's cargo cult macos" while they were bragging about how awesome they were ("objectively the best" was thrown around) was a real turn off for me.

I have never heard this in my life. Either people treat words as magic or they don't. There's a difference between "you'll never hear me say that word, just all other words" and trying to censor. I won't say th
