You got downvoted, but you're hinting at a good point. Today we are told that any discomfort is unacceptable, and you are owed living a life without it. I think a lot of "adulting" is rejected because it comes with downsides. And more and more people seem to demanding no such downsides. They are owed cherry picking the gains, with no requirement for any of the work for it.
