I've always taken a liking to sidenotes, but the main problem with them is they are complicated by Markdown's rendering of footnotes. It's great for many other purposes, but a lot of people will probably prefer doing things i

I’m almost at a point where I think static websites are a solved problem. Compile your website with whatever (Jekyll, Octopress, etc), save it to GitHub for good measure, and push it to an S3 bucket with CloudFront og CloudFlare in front of

Doing an import is hardly going to ruin your existing installation. Back up your blog and do the Jekyll import, and see if it’s worth switching to you. :)

The font is very thin on Windows Chrome (which sounds like a broken record, because this has always been the case). If you intend to use that font for a general audience, make the colour darker or bump up the font weight.

I really hope browser races doesn’t get boiled down to performance, but also things like resource-hogging, which has made it practically impossible for me to use Chrome on my MacBook. If Edge can be to Windows 10 what Safari is to OS X, I’l

Static blogs are doing pretty well, but setting up a sepparate interface or flow for writers - not admins and developers - is still a big of a chore, unless you don’t mind giving people full access to the site repo. I’m thinking about setti
