I will be convinced when AI will create its first breakthrough PhD paper/discovery. But we have to admit that emergent properties like chain of thoughts are facts and are really impressive. The question is how much model size, context,

Why not both. Doctors can sieve hallucinations and random BS and cross check with peers anyway, and correct the diagnosis description. This can save a lot of typical paperwork and increase healthcare availability by decreasing bureaucratic

It's rather caused by archaic approach of VW to car software. Tesla showed (almost decade ago) how should it be done. Years have passed and VW is not only behind the competition, but still in '00s. They were agile enough to fake N

Ruby is fine until your large application starts to include more and more dependencies. There is no coherent API across, every library has it's own mini DSL and the mess starts to build up. Then it comes method_missing, monkey patching

Great question! I worked with two approaches: 1. Sagas - a centralised place to handle bussines flows 2. Event system Start with 1. and eventually (pun intended) move to 2. Both ways allow parallelized interactions with external systems, de

Mocks means that there's a side effect neccessary (and that's quite rare) so the use is justified in such a case. If a stub is needed, then mostly it's gone when the code is refactored to a more functional style. Unfortunatel

I recommend to deep dive into various technologies/communities from time to time. There is a plenty of separate, but vibrant tech spheres. They are "dark matter" to each other.

Only Detroid school! Mocks should be banned (unless they mock external system). London-style tests cargo culting is one of the reasons why OOP got bad name.

And that opens another risk for Netflix. Paying users that canceled will be more eager to check the competition, and migrated user is harder to regain. Anyway, the catalogue is so fragmented that cyclic migration makes sense.
