I work at a FAANG. They’re OK with you working from home 1-2 days/week to run errands, etc, but not OK with 100% WFH except rare exceptions (usually people who have been at the company a while before moving). That may be what OP means.

Aimbots work in LoL too, there are champs that are balanced around lots of skill shots (Xerath) who you’d see hitting every single shot all game. There’s also a lot of scripting, both for account leveling or just to automate boring parts of

Numbers in the example don’t line up with what I’ve seen of Bay Area trends. $110K TC at Google is low for a new grad, and good luck getting 1% of a company valued at $10MM straight out of college. More realistic numbers for me would be: ea

It’s news in that it’s taking a step toward being available to real people. The previous stories you’re talking about were about research studies, not drugs available to the public.

Netflix already does this. Just interviewed with them for a full stack role. All interviews are dependent on the team, but generally feature less whiteboarding than FB/Google. I did a takehome technical exercise, in person interviews w

I feel like whenever possible, the answer is to stop storing sensitive information in source control. That solves a whole class of problems, including this one. If your history has sensitive info, see about rewriting the history. If that&#x

100% agree. I've swapped bike computers 5-6x over the last 5 years. First road bike I ever bought is still compatible with all of them. Presumably the investors saw something I'm missing, but I think the price point ($1300) is rea

Happens all the time. As a consultant you're responsible for self employment tax (7.5%), benefits, vacation, sick leave, etc. You also have no job security, so you need to make enough that you can cover gaps in between gigs that ended.

Been doing this for 3 years. There are tons of programming gigs at $100+/hour. $100 * 40 * 4.33 = $17320 per month. It's usually tough to fill 40 hours consistently, but if your rates are higher, you can work less hours.
