While this is good advice of course, it is not clear to me if the problem is just the source code. The twitter message says "We are completely blocked from deploying!." Maybe they already have the source code elsewhere but use Git

Exactly. Somebody who wanted to do this could simply book a flight where Iran in an intermediate destination. And then they would say "I had 30 minutes of waiting time in transit and I just wanted to add a comment on my Pull Request&qu

Great idea! Maybe GitHub does some additional checks for determining if somebody is in Iran? Or they have a special way to know if a VPN is used? I think that some VPN services offer a "random server" access, so you are essentiall

There is also another scenario. I steal with social engineering (or phishing or other method) the GitHub credentials of an employee from a company I wish to harm. And then I simply log in GitHub(or use a VPN to appear in Iran) with those st

This means that as a disgruntled employee I can simply visit Iran, log in my company Github account and boom! I have now taken revenge on my whole company with minimal effort.

Agreed. But the original article is about Airpods Max which are not small either. And he specifically talks about how heavy they are.

All I am saying is that NC should not be seen as the holy grail. If you look at my original comment I just said 1. Buy a good pair of closed back headphones 2. Take them on a flight 3. Make your choice If AFTER you have done this, you still

I own xm3, DT770 and HD280 (and several other headphones). The difference in passive isolation between DT770 and HD280 is night and day. But maybe this is just me :-)

Yes it happens to a lot of people (but not all). If you fall into this camp, then passive isolation is the only viable choice for you.

Can you elaborate? Even the basic ability to just spin a container with all your stuff and start developing is an important advance. (especially for cases like python2/3, java5/8 etc) Coupled with the remote containers feature of

I think the sweet spot is around $100-$120. At this price point you also get the capability to easily replace cables and pads. So essentially you buy a headphone for ever. Some examples are Beyerdynamic custom, ATH-50, sennheiser 599, hd-25

People need to be really close to hear what you are hearing. Open back headphones are not for the metro or bus. But you can certainly wear them in your cubicle or home office without any issues for other people around you. Especially if you

That is a whole different discussion. If by application container you mean Tomcat then maybe. But if you mean Weblogic or Oc4j or WebSphere then hell no :-) Then maybe you agree that Kubernetes brought some advantages that until recently on

I understand your pain and can see where you are coming from. But Helm is just a package manager and not a software delivery platform like you ask. I mean do you have the same expectations from a Deb or RPM package? If I give you a deb pack

Helm is a full package manager. Kustomize is just a templating mechanism. They are not comparable. For example, with Helm you can rollback applications to previous versions

So you are saying that Ansible, Chef and puppet are fads? That solve no real problems? OpenMosix, Bewolf and Grid computing were mostly confined on research circles. I never saw them took off like K8s did. So comparing K8s with OpenMosix is
