Hopefully you are selling him the BTC at today's rate, and not at $868. This post is an admission of guilt on your part, so if you don't, he likely has a great case when he sues you (which I would, if I suffered a $12k loss like

Do an ACH chargeback as quickly as possible, don't be an idiot and wait for a response, otherwise you may miss your opportunity to walk away without losing $10k.

Incorrect. If you have self-driving cars, the entire flow of traffic could be much more efficient, virtually eliminating traffic jams. You could drive at the speed limit with a lot smaller distance between cars, etc, packing in a greater d

If I remember correctly from another article yesterday, the company went through 7 more rounds of funding after the founders were kicked out. Most of the heavy lifting was done after their ouster, so quite frankly they don't deserve an

What's poisonous about it? It's the blunt truth. In stack ranking, you don't have to be the best employee, you just can't be in the bottom 15%. If you get laid off, it means you're in the bottom 15%. There'

What it means is of your team, you were in the bottom 15% and maybe you weren't a bad employee, but you weren't even in the top half of your team.

I absolutely despise Perl with every ounce of my body. I'm not saying that it's a bad programming language. I'm also not saying it can't be used to create extremely useful software, or that you're not a great progr

It depends on your down payment and your salary. Does your wife work? Are you open to sending your kids to a mediocre school or do you want them to attend a private a school? All areas with good schools will run you over 1M for a house. A

Isn't it strange that one arm of the government, ie the NSA, can get PRISM and all their extremely complex surveillance and correlation programs up and running but these much simpler and more straightforward web sites are generally fai

I find it hard to believe. In 1995 people barely knew what the internet was. I was accessing the internet through Trumpet Winsock on Windows 3.11 and had a 14.4k modem. The idea that Time Warner already had a sophisticated Web division smel

If there is a bubble, it's most certainly not starting, it's ending. With the Fed tapering imminent, and interest rates starting to rise, there's no way that a bubble will be starting at this point. If anything, it will pop

Ditching BBOS and using Android is exactly what SGI tried to do by ditching IRIX and going with Windows NT. It destroyed the company. Not that BBM has any hope at this point, but getting rid of BBOS is not the solution, because they will

The number of people on food stamps went from around 15M in 2001 to about 45M in 2013. I think many people need good stamps but the point of eligibility of food stamps is a good point, in that there are probably a lot of able-bodied people

Global temperatures are basically flat for the last 17 years, and below every single computer model of climate change. This is even more stark given the fact that the most co2 has been produced in the last 17 years. I think the theory is pr

I've been programming in C/C++ for 15+ years and I enjoy it. Personally I think the C++11 extensions are not useful and could bloat/kill the language. It feels like they are trying to make it a scripting language, which isn

You likely won't get high interest rates like 8% unless you have higher inflation rates. So someone who makes 2000/month right now, by the time the Interest rates increase to 8%, their salary would have Also increased.
