Well, in most cases the GUI stack will be different anyways. There is no "official" Android or iOS support from Nokia / QT for instance. I've deployed ASP.NET MVC apps on Linux / Mono and it was a relatively painless experience. The desktop

A lot of people just like C#. I think it's fair to say that it's a well designed language. It also depends on the task at hand and your personal preferences. I had to develop a couple of iPhone apps and in the process I've developed a prett

The underlying theme of the millennial generation is a sense of entitlement. A lot of people live under the illusion that their college degree is an accurate indicator of their intelligence and entitles them to enormous sums of money. Well,

Apple products are classical status symbols. Interesting to me is the idea that aesthetically, the original iMacs were worlds apart from the current models and it took Apple more than one try to find a classical design that worked. The curr

I have both an MBA and an X220 and in everyday use I think the two machines are comparable in feel and weight. Of course the x220 is a little bit bigger and heavier but the difference isn't really noticeable. In the end, both are very port

I have a MacBook Air at work and a X220 at home, I'd say the X220 looks better. Classic Sapper.

True, I bought an X220 (IPS, 80GB mSata, 320GB HDD, 8GB of RAM) in Switzerland. I paid about 1100 Swiss Francs (Imported from Germany). A MacBook Air would have cost me much more.

I added Stanislaw Lem in the reddit thread, didn't get a single upvote :( He's one of my favorite (sci fi) authors. Deep, absurd, comical. By the way, I think Solaris is some of his weaker novels. I particularly like The Star Diaries, The C

What strikes me as most odd is the fact that conservative'ŝ constantly point out that 50% of people pay no taxes at all. They use this figure to illustrate a demand for raising taxes on these people. I never heard a conservative ask the que

The problem is, that in almost all of the west, without government spending, 30% to 50% of society would be in deep poverty. To me it looks like the elite and the government collude to pacate the vast majority of have-nothings. A large perc

When, 9 out of 10 experiences with a company turn out to be negative, it could be argued that you build up a negative bias. I'm not saying that there are no decent people at ACN, there definitely are. Either way, Accenture has an awful repu
