This is pretty intellectually dishonest. Doubt the ad boycott wouldn't have been nearly as large - or maybe even happened at all - if it weren't for Musk letting Nazis have a field day on Twitter again.

I’d consider significantly raising controller wages and improving working conditions to be a fairly radical proposal in at least the US’s current political climate.

Just to be clear I’m not calling out ATC specifically, as in the people who are controllers. Rather, the entire system of air traffic control. It seems to me if we end up in a situation where a pilot does something wrong in a sensitive area

This never should have happened, and mark my words we’re going to see the same type of accident in the US if we don’t radically rework ATC.

Of those, literally the only one I’ve heard of is GitLab. Hard to imagine “ShipBob” is a “big win” for YC.

I think "broken" is a bit of an exaggeration, when the actual problem is "just not compatible with your hardware".

It feels like the stakes are kind of different when a LLM could give you the recipe and accurate instructions for creating, say, chemical weapons.

Oof. Looks like a huge UX miss to me at best, and a worse version of Google Glass at worst.

> but there's no fundamentally new risk here This is incredibly naive. These models unlock capabilities for previously unsophisticated actors to do extremely dangerous things in almost undetectable ways.

I mean Bing still sucks compared to Google. I keep giving it a chance, but it is just nowhere as good. Make it better, and people might use Google less?

Non-hacking mechanical watches are a giant pain to set. Hacking movements are the way to go if you want to get into mechanical watches.

The guy behind it is a pretty clear fraud. Just look at his absurd watch company.

Oral appliances for sleep apnea are such a step forward. Have been using one for a few years now, never had to go the CPAP route. Plus stops me from grinding my teeth at night.

I'm entirely fine with far less growth if corporations start being responsible and understand what long-term effect they might have.

Once again Google shows how deeply irresponsible and straight hostile they are to their customers. First AMP, now this insanity. Google employees should be ashamed of this garbage.

It's sad to see this kind of pop-sci garbage. This isn't science, it isn't even philosophy. It's pure speculation. And hey, speculation is fine - but as soon this kind of speculation is phrased in an authoritative "

So what, we’re all supposed to be happy going back to a miserable life of commuting 2-3 hours a day to work in miserable open office layout nightmare factories to “soften the blow” (that might not happen) for everyone else? Nah. I’m good. T

More like “man says I ate lunch, some people didn’t eat lunch for a few days, but now most people are back to eating lunch”. This was Occupy Wall Street all over again. A disorganized mess of a protest with no chance at making a difference.

I barely noticed the blackout. And pretty much every subreddit I use is back up and running. Blackout had next to zero impact in the short term, and I doubt it will have any lasting impact.
