Having gone through a bunch of wakemates that stopped working or were DOA's, their horribly unresponsive service as a result of that (and not to mention their botched launch), I have absolutely no faith in this team being able to deliver. W

But isn't that just practicality? Stepping completely away from this specific case, I have found that people that are the most effective in changing things are the ones that say 'I think it's your fault, but I'm going to fix it anyway'. Nam

I think this is the best advice. It's not about avoiding bullying (though that would be nice), it's about being confident despite what other might do or say. Sheltering won't help. Giving them confidence and self esteem (i.e. it's not you t

This is a long article but well worth the read, providing a good background, the authors opinion on the current situation and well reasoned proposals on remedying it. I posted this because it provides a reasoning and even an answer to a fee

I'm sad to see epio go, it was/is a great tool and I always got stellar service from Andrew and Ben. I've been using Ep.io for a number of apps, but one of them is http://laserey.es , which uses openCV. Andrew installed it on epio without

Very stylish, but I think this site: http://mattkersley.com/responsive/ wins in terms of usefulness. We have that html as a development-only page in our framework, so when developing/designing a site we can go to /responsive and test it t

Yes, they're hard problems, but most of what we do is a cop-out, or as the OP says "whatever shoddy pile of hacks we’ve cooked up by then". For example, I have to search for some obscure instructions to get my two Google calenders syncing w

While not the primary point of this article, I'm constantly amazed how much software collectively sucks . Why can't I just say "hey phone, here is my calender app. Sort it out between the two of you". Or another favorite: Why doesn't outlo

It feels overpriced, but they're competing with daylight lamps, and those are in the 100 - 300 euro range, with most being around 200 euro (I'm currently looking for one, suggestions welcome!). So in that context, they're priced at market-r

I found this incredibly condescending, especially when it likened "a friend" to "meaningless shit". Like someone else mentioned, my quiet place doesn't involve clicking or pressing a spacebar, or a computer for that matter.

Regardless of how it works, or how awesome the underlying tech is, this application is so incredibly ugly that I'm not even going to try it. My friends will laugh at me if I ask them to start using this.

Haha, pretty funny, faster then I expected it to be as well. I think starting with the forward facing camera (or remembering the preference) would be a good improvement though. What resources did you use to teach yourself this?
