Zurich here. I noticed something is off after waking up. The light seemed.. Dirty? Went online to check what was happening. Strongly dislike this weather phenomenon.

I'm late to the party. But this seems to be a policy problem, no? There needs to be a real incentive for Apple and other platforms to prevent this scams. Off the top of my head, I wonder if you couldn't make Apple have to pay a fl

I have been doing coding for some years now. Went from terrible to average and sometimes even good. Still no passion. And I'll never be one of the really good devs, my learning speed during work isn't high enough. I know what to d

Being passionate about something for a long time (not just a couple of hours or weeks) seems to be a rare quality. Too bad for those who lack it, as it seems to be a requirement for success in everything. There are so many posts that try to

I get the stellar opposite reaction. One look at evolution, the terror of it, the inhumanity, and I'm convinced there is no higher power. At least none a human being should pray to.

I work mostly with Java and am a bit blind to other languages, at least in a professional setting. Which languages / ecosystems do it differently? I'm looking for something new.

I started to hope that someone is going to do exactly that. What if we really try to create the most healthy, long living mice? Could we do it? How much healthier could it get? If the answer "several orders of magnitude", the risk

I can't see this connection at all. Could someone who thinks or feels this way elaborate? Does this feeling arise because those atoms move? Or is it the self-assembling behavior? Is this the same feeling some people have when they see

I've made the same observation. But I don't believe human drivers could reasonably take advantage of high acceleration, at least not as well as the simulated cars here. This is a great showcase of the usefulness of autonomous cars

Can someone explain to me, what the term "bionic" means in this context? How is the chip derived from nature / natural systems?

I don't follow Bitcoin, but after first hearing abort how it would be a decentralised network, all I could think was "have you ever heard of the power law?".

I remember some people tried to get BLM into German discussions, which made absolutely zero sense, as we have a complete different history and culture. Now I see this popping up. I really hope Europe can get some cultural distance between i

I personally haven't seen a single FPS beating the AI of FEAR back in the day. I honestly don't expect anything anymore. It's been so long. Cyberpunk 2077 is a bit worse than other FPS of our time. But all are worse than FEAR

Like my Jaba Elite? I have a friend who tries to convince me that only Apple is acceptable and everything else complete trash in comparison. Maybe that has been true in the past. Today, that's just delusion.

And what is the alternative in the JVM environment? But I have to say, I'd like something less verbose. Springs stack trace looks ridiculously bloated. Still, other than that, you hardly notice the framework once everything is setup.
