Heyo, chiming in from the Optimism team here. You should be able to get non-ETH token transfers (ERC20 or ERC721) via the Etherscan CSV export feature. You may have to make a dummy ERC20/ERC721 transaction to get the page to show up. I

I strongly prefer monorepo setups. We used to have a multi-repo setup but ended up transitioning to a monorepo and have been extremely happy with our decision. Multi-repo setups induce a lot of overhead, especially if you don't already

The general issue with this sort of oracle is the potential to create prediction markets based on someone's dead/alive state. I'm sure you can imagine why that could become problematic.

My favorite version of this is having a list of beneficiary addresses that can request to have access to the funds; you can cancel the request at any time within some time period. No fancy token required. I built a demo of this a while back

Eth2 is a Proof-of-Stake system and doesn't rely on the computationally heavy Proof-of-Work, so it's unlikely that Eth2 is a major contributor to a lack of supply.
