There are many languages that fit these requirements. I don't get the purpose of writing these posts besides a reason to go viral and get clicks talking about your product. I write OCaml myself, but not for $paid job, it's okay, i

This is a blessing and a curse. I, for one, preferred Swift from before, when it wasn't hell bent on replacing C++. It was a simpler Swift, I could understand all of it. Just look at the explosion of keywords in Swift.

Seems like there have been two approaches to languages. The very high level languages, fun and slow, with async built in pretty much from the start, and good ergonomics. And then the grindy and fast low level languages, with async shoehorne

Great work for the community. This has obviously been 'rust'ling some feathers, as it challenges some of the arguments laid past; but once the dust settles, it is a major net benefit to the community. I hope you get financed and c

on macOS if you opted for 32GB you can run a GPT4-oss model with LMStudio really easily. It's "good enough" for a lot of questions and doesn't go up and down like a yoyo (OpenAI dashboard lies)

Awk was designed for one liners and short programs, not tons of lines. See talks by its designers.

I haven't had a stroke but I did get a nasty tropical mono when I was young. You never quite recover from that one. I've got ibs since. My stomach just gets tired and stops. My mental focus feels the same. I sleep 9 hours a night,

That means the end of the Hackintosh era if the OS won't run x86, I imagine it won't install on x86 either.

I'm sure there will be a setting flag to stop blocking http sites, or maybe even a domain exclusion which will let you set up your intranet to work on http. Maybe everything .local will already be allowed.

The difference is, this is "normal" geometry, with fixed 64x64 textures (or similar) mapped with hard edges (nearest-neighbour filtering, no bilinear/trilinear/blur). Voxels is quite different: the world is made of cubes

I didn't explain myself well. The point I was trying to make is the language of Swift is far more flexible than Dart. And in terms of UI implementation, it then looks a lot more like a DSL. Because () are optional and a function call c

I write both swiftUI and flutter daily. I think SwiftUI is the winner if we're going to put names forward. But arguably, not cross platform. But in terms of language adaptability for UI, Swift is king.
