This is cool. And could be fun in games. Not sure I get the point otherwise... The thought that came to mind was "Architectural slop".

They don't look like they need money, but they look prime for a series A. This idea has legs.

In Australia I think there is such a rule, so when they approach the deadline, short of an option: they just cancel the flight. It doesn't count as a delay, and won't affect their statistics of delays! Some other airlines "sw

Hey it's fine to make a 3d printed camera and cool stuff like that. But it's another thing to make it a product, that isn't shipping yet and asking $399 with a shiny website and with closed source software. I don't mean

This is rather expensive for what looks like a home 3D printed toy with some cute software. Other than that it's a 16MP Sony CMOS, I'd expect a pretty noisy picture... How do I get my photos off the camera? Coming s

That line _is_ in the post. Search for it. I'm not sure what you're on about.

I go straight to having examples/ with a ton of little test cases, and check the output stdout and stderr to see whether it went pear shaped. It's an end to end test harness of sorts. If you care about locking down your AST and IR

I use it, it's really good and getting better every release. It's fast and robust. The toml config is also straight forward. Highly recommended! PS: I preferred the old (bird) icon

You're saying serverless can have really low latency and fast 24/7? Isn't serverless at the base the old model, of shared vms, except with a ton of people? I'm old school I guess, baremetal for days...

Hey Walter, while we have you. Have you ever had the itch to make a newer D that takes all the fancy constructs while retaining the good parts?

Hehe, it was tongue-in-cheek. It takes a buttload of efforts to make a good one.

I tries to answer the question "Why do we design new programming languages?" but it forgets the simplest of answers: Because we can. Because a compiler is nothing more than a fancy text translator.

C wasn't designed to be running facebook, it was designed to not have to write assembly.

Really it's quite logical that the next iteration of these configuration languages be this style, remove superfluous and annoying quotes, handle comments and maybe allow trailing commas. If anything it's a spec that writes itself.

Command+shift+J gives you a file link, you can then use your favourite editor to find or manipulate it to your heart's content. Coming from iTerm2 I was a bit disappointed at first. Now, I hope this feature stays because it means I can

A few months ago I've moved to ghostty and I have been very happy (minus a few bugs) Is this new terminal bringing anything I'd be missing on? Or is it a case of "made in Rust" vs. "made in Zig"?

Sure, but you can still program in C after hours and pretend like it's 1999 without any issues. Like someone else pointed out, you don't need kubernetes and microservices at home.

I think the future of computing is Arm, or at least not Intel. Once you've experienced completely silent computers, there is no going back. I used to be that kid with a spectrum from Sinclair back in the 80s. Seeing a product like this
