I, and many of my coworkers, found the ad series - especially the "Basically" ad painful to watch because it was so embarrassing to watch. Apple generally tries to make their products seem "cool", but this ad did just the opposite. Add th

Apple has done some things that I don't think are wise since the death of Steve Jobs - the "new iPad" branding, the new Apple ads, the potential new form factors developer have to design for. However, they also made some decisions that I th

So because HBO is selling more subscriptions to HBO (due to having one of the most popular shows available), they're doing as well as they possibly can? That seems like it's ignoring all of the customers they could pick up and are sweepi

The techcrunch article title is misleading - they don't want to be Amazon; they're not maintaining warehouses (which may prevent them from crashing like Webvan). They're effectively delivery people that you hire to bring you products from

That's an unverifiable statement and it would depend heavily on the shooters involved. It's as much conjecture as if I were to say that each bullet fired from each shooter's gun would only hit people without weapons.

There may be a difference between scaling well and scaling 9th on alexa well. Sometimes bad carpenters blame their tools, but sometimes the tools weren't planned for something of that scale.

Content like this has reached the top from time to time for at least as long as I've been frequenting this site (about three years). It's amusing to note that these comments generally come from people with new accounts. It's so prevalent,

When they show the image that is half prepared burger and half store bought burger (3:20), you can see that they're almost exactly the same height. We perceive the store bought one to be smaller because it has cheese covering up most of

It's not really as easy as you make it sound. Incorrect moderation will cripple a site and prevent people from contributing, but moderation is necessary to prevent the site from declining in quality. Without moderation, a site's quality w

Poker games have some weird results, like having numbers for keywords. Is this some way of gaming the system or a bug? http://www.appcod.es/appsearch/poker

Impressive game. One small issue I had with it was that when you're holding a direction key and jump (and gravity subsequently inverts), continuing to hold the key will now rocket you off in a different direction. IMO, it's design to hav

Hopefully they open source their code after they finish. It would be fun to see what people could do with it (since it's probably unlikely they'll be supporting a game that's making them no money).

I don't think you read the article. It is only saying that there are two things you need to know in jest. If you looked at the article, you'd see that many fields, such as CS, have more than one set of "two things" that you need to know.
