I don't understand the concern. Huawei isn't providing the 5G network, just the phones that latch on to it. It would presumably be Telstra (the primary Australian telecommunications provider) that would provide the network itself.

The problem is when rich investors buy properties to hold, but don't actually rent them out to people. This in turn reduces the number of apartments available to the people that need them, and just drives prices artificially upwards.

Can I ask which generation you're using? ArchLinux at least does a good job of listing any issues across all generations: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Lenovo_ThinkPad_X1_Carb...

If I buy the non-4k model, can I still hook it up to my 4k monitor without any loss in quality? Or is it that the 4k model is built to handle this better? I'm kind of embarrassed to be asking this because I feel like I should know this

What saddens me about this story when it first cropped up back in 2016 is how powerless I feel to be able to do anything directly. Rising sea temperatures is not (as far as I'm aware) something we're "directly" doing, bu

I like sleeping on time and waking up early(ish). I'm slowly shifting from a night-owl into a morning person in my 30s. I love the productivity I feel and knowing that I can do a bunch of things in the morning before work, then get ho

Same. When I visited SF I was told that the restriction was due to earthquakes. When I then pointed out the skyscrapers in the city center I was met with shrugs...

I'm not an expert in this domain, but something seems a little off to me. Are we saying that all male populations around the planet 5000 to 7000 years ago were engaged in serious clan wars, or are we just focused on the Asian and/

I don't know why you got downvoted, because it's a valid question. But apart from what mulmen mentioned regarding partitioning and clustering out of the box, I have my opinion. Having worked in large finance institutions, there&#x

I had no idea what you were talking about, so I did my own research (ie - googled "type inference vs dynamic typing") and I stand corrected. https://herbsutter.com/2008/06/20/type-inference-vs-stati

Though more "inferred" types rather than dynamic types, scala does allow you to do: val s = "String" Rather than the more strict: val s:String = "String"

Yes, I do. I use it a lot to find restaurants. Say I search for "Turkish Restaurant", I'm presented with a map with locations nearby, allowing me to click on each of them and check opening hours, the website, reviews, etc. It

I'm saddened by this new, but more so for Android. WhatsApp was my main counterpoint for anyone using iMessage as a trump card for getting an iPhone with its end-to-end encryption and the status indicator that the other user is typing

But that's exactly the problem! The minute you want to change a key binding or a hotkey, you have a re-export that change to all your workspaces. Honestly it reminds me of GIMP taking years to finally implement an MDI interface. If onl

I think that the main reason for a long time was (a) being able to install mysql quickly, and (b) having a decent SQL UI, which was MySqlWorkbench. Things might have changed now for Postgres.

Meanwhile when I moved here in New York I was shocked at the common practice of "double bagging" where they literally put a plastic bag into another plastic bag. The argument being that 1 bag isn't strong enough.

Well done to the Bootstrap team! I'm a little surprised though, that jQuery is still a requirement. I'm guessing that this might be due to linked JS components that they don't have permission to modify?
