Aside from the headphone jack, many earlier leaks/rumours indicated an on-screen fingerprint scanner. It's unfortunate that this technology still isn't ready for phone manufacturers to use.
Anyone know of what the status is on this?

Samsung might be waiting for a cost dip, OR current Samsung leaks mask a decision to use it.
- cbg0 9y agoWhile this is a cool concept, it will be interesting to see how well it holds up in terms of security, as the one under the screen will be an optical fingerprint reader as opposed to the capacitive ones we have now, which is in theory be much harder to fool than the optical one.
