I've been using Google Maps for years and didn't even notice this feature. Wow. If you're on an iPhone there's Find My Friends that I use often.

Yes I went through this exact thing recently. I tried Gnome, then XFCE, then i3. I settled with i3 reacting to my connecting/disconnecting my laptop from my monitor, but even then the resolutions never looked correct. I ended up sellin

I love prepared checklists! It's the ultimate productivity hack for me. I spend time upfront preparing the list, and then I go into auto-pilot everytime I use it. No stress, no cognitive load, no questioning whether you've forgott

An excellent read, but my only doubt is whether this is effective because all your peers have been raised this way. Ie - If someone raises his/her child like this in our western society it might be conflicting for the child to learn ho

I want to be hopeful of this, but according to the article: "In the U.S., UBS is contesting charges from ... the financial crisis more than a decade ago." That was 10 years ago, and and it's still being argued in court. I can

Though I'm sad that a lot of developers dislike scala, I'm certainly glad to see some of it's* good parts being incorporated into current and new languages: Pattern matching to various degrees in Kotlin, now C#, and soon Java

Is there any way of proving this? My skeptical mind says they're stockpiling a large portion of that money in banks/stocks and getting massive returns with interest/dividends.

Thank you. I just noticed this too. I wonder what the UX reasoning for this was? I just assumed that they had some metric indicating that not many people used it...

By "beaten-up" I'm assuming you mean second-hand, in which case this is an unfair comparison. I'm sure that with time we'll have second-hand models of these tiny cars. The cost would definitely make it more tempting

Yes I noticed that too. It made me think that (a) it was somehow ok to do this to (especially to children), and (b) what other non-photographed atrocities were committed and never spoken of.

It might be a far stretch to say that they've been "replaced". At least in my area the traditional vegetarian options are still there alongside these newer items. It's not to your taste, which is fine. There are meat-eat

From what I read, and someone please correct me on this, they put a bunch of scientists in a room to do their work without any influences from industry and lobby groups. I love this. Great job Canada!

It's the addition of RAM that kills the price though. A jump from 32GB to 64GB is $800USD!

What would be interesting is if they limited the AI's ability to that of humans. Ie - simulate how fast a human could potentially group select and point-click, etc. Now THAT would be interesting. Until then, yes as you put it, the AI w
