This is an interesting angle I never considered. I think that a lot of us are seeing UBI as a flat rate everyone gets. I never thought of it evolving into different levels for different categories of people.

I want to believe in it, but the skeptic in me wants to ask how this isn't a vehicle for the rich to get richer: If every $25 gets you a ticket, then someone with a $50 account has far worse odds than someone with a $5000 account. Of c

Fascinating article. I can assume that most of these men were not gay, but rather used gay sex as an outlet for pleasure given the hopeless circumstances they were in. What struck to me most though, is the eventual development of romantic r

"don't mock" How are you meant to write a unit test for a class without mocking out external dependencies? Wouldn't that make it an integration test?

The apology feels cheap, as there's no mention of any repercussions whatsoever for the mining giant. Looks like it's business as usual. It's a terrifying precent set here when mining companies can simply blow up ancient sites

I'm finding this a concept a little hard to understand, but it vaguely sounds like a system involving hyperlinkable notes. Wouldn't vimwiki basically accomplish this?

(a) I was young(er), (b) I recall other highly-funded startups failing at the time, (c) at the time the whole thing just sounded laughable/sketchy. Not to mention I was on a visa...

I feel so bitter right now. A recruiter asked me to join them back in 2016 and they were paying $200k+ for a senior backend role. I turned them down because I was on a visa and wanted a company with financial stability. A gif-search engine

Wow ... thanks for this, but a lot of this reads like daunting and sobering JD of people constantly knocking at your door with problems. What are some of the positives? Besides a higher salary?

For those who were around during the mid-2000s, is this basically another revival of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)? I watched one of the explanation videos and it brought back memories. My dislike of the phase back then, which I hope
